A dream home starts with great foundations, so your first step on your new home build journey is to pick the perfect site and the right plans. We can be involved in any part of this process - we have our own architects who can create custom house plans for you, or we can collaborate with your architect, or we have house plans that you can choose from.

Pope Housing and Construction offer a range of our own house plans, from two to five bedroom homes, architecturally designed to suit New Zealand conditions and New Zealanders' lifestyles, or you can select from the Certified Plan range.

From framework to finishing touches, Pope Housing and Construction can oversee your entire building project

Once your plans are signed off and the building consents in place, it is time for the most exciting part of your new home to begin, the build itself. Our building process is straightforward and follows these steps:

Site preparation and foundation laying:

to provide a solid base for your new home in years to come

Framing:

this is the time when your new house begins to take shape as the frames for the walls are put together

Cladding and roofing:

at this point your house will be enclosed with a roof, windows and doors making it weathertight and ready for more interior work

Service installation:

this includes wiring, gas, plumbing and any other services such as automated systems before lining and plastering is started

Kitchens and bathrooms:

add cabinetry, lights and appliances

Floors and coverings:

one of the last steps in the building process is to put in floor coverings and drapes before any final paint touch-ups are applied and the finishing touches are added

Once your house is complete you may also choose to have professional landscaping services for the outside of your home including laying lawn, planting trees and shrubs and installing fences to match your new property.

At the end of each project we send our clients a custom video, a story of your dream home becoming a reality.
