Managing Director

Trade qualified builder, Licensed Building Practitioner and registered NZ Certified Builder with more than 28 years in the industry. Erin project and quality manages all our projects and personally meets all new clients.

Finance Manager

Elise assists with project and quality management, day to day administration, accounts, and health and safety. Her focus is a supportive, happy team whose wellbeing is always a priority.

Lee-Anne joined in March 2022 with over 30 years of administration experience in New Zealand and overseas. Her knowledge and expertise are invaluable to the team.

A trade qualified carpenter and experienced project manager and estimator with over 35 years in the industry. Responsible for project and procurement management and estimating services. Duncan works collaboratively with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver high quality outcomes.

Dale started in January 2021 and is in the fifth year of his building apprenticeship. He loves hands-on outdoor work and is a positive, energetic member of the team.

A straightforward building process

Pope Housing and Construction thrives on open communication, acknowledging that construction projects may encounter challenges along the way, and we meet those challenges head-on. With our personable, honest and reliable team, we navigate the build with patience, discussion and creative solutions, always ensuring the desired outcome is delivered without compromising on quality.

Site preparation and foundations

Preparing the site and laying the foundations to provide a solid base for your new home in years to come.

Framing

This is when your new house begins to take shape as the frames for the walls are put together.

Cladding and roofing

Your house is enclosed with a roof, windows and doors, making it weathertight and ready for interior work.

Service installation

Wiring, gas, plumbing and any other services such as automated systems, before lining and plastering begins.

Kitchens and bathrooms

Cabinetry, lights and appliances are installed as the interior comes together.

Floors and finishing touches

Floor coverings and drapes go in before final paint touch-ups and the finishing touches are added.

At the end of each project we send our clients a custom video, a story of your dream home becoming a reality.

Supporting local community clubs, teams and events

Beyond construction, we actively support local clubs, sports teams, and community events. Pope Housing and Construction believes in the power of community, and our sponsorship initiatives reflect our dedication to being more than just builders.

We have regularly supported a number of community events, school sports teams and local family clubs over the years, including the Rotorua Commercial Travellers Association, the Waiariki Football Club, the John Paul College first XI girls football team, the Breast Cancer Pink Walk and the Shave for Prostate event. We strongly believe in supporting local and doing our best to support and promote other local businesses.

Most recently we were proud to get behind Kick for a Cause Rotorua, which collected $10,974 in cash and can donations for the Salvation Army, helping make a difference for local whānau.
